Trek to Thalaiyar falls - Kodaikkanal

Kodiakkanal - The enchanting hills of South India. Thalaiyar (Thalyar or Thalayar) falls is located in an un-motorable reach. Also known as Rat-Tail falls. This is the tallest waterfall in Tamil Nadu, with a height of 975 feet. A trip to Kodai would not be complete without a trek to this wonderful location, even though most tourists generally are content to have a view from the road. The location itself is a trekkers' paradise and the grilling route (particularly the return) through dense bear shola forests provides excellent excitement for the nature lover.

Many of us nature lovers would travel that extra mile to experience the serene tranquility that unspoilt nature provides. I welcome you to share such experiences.
